Topic of Lesson : Unit 1: Animals
Learning Objective : To observe and recognize the external features of animals.

Learning outcomes : At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
1) To identify the external features of an animals.
2) To record the external features of animals in a table.

Teaching method : Discussion, Use of Technology, Stimulations

Prerequisite knowledge : Pupils have learnt and approached to the
animals during their daily life. They have
the ability to imagine the part that can be
found on the animal body. Besides, they can
also explore the features through their pet such
as dog, cat, bird and so on.

Science Process Skills : Observing, Classifying, Analyzing, Predicting,
Communicating.

Critical and Creative : Grouping and Classifying, Visualising, Comparing,
Thinking Skills Generating Ideas.

Scientific Attributes and : - Students learn to show their care to the animal
Noble Values - Student cooperate with their peer to carry out
their work
- They are willing to share their ideas to do well
the activities.

1. What animal is this?
2. Is it different from other animals? Why does it so special?
3. What do you think the shell will feel like?
4. Why the shell is important to snail?




• Teacher shows the “snail” video clips to students.

• Teacher requires students to observe the animals in the jungle and snail.

• Teacher asks students question regarding to the animals after the
observation.

• Teacher leads students to the explanation of external features of animal
during the discussion. SPS : Observing, predicting.

• Each slide contains a vocabulary with picture such as beak, claws and so on.
• Teacher pronouns each word followed by students.
• Teacher gives a clear definition of each word after pronouncing it.
